Welcome to my Home online! In this website, you will get to know who I am in all the various aspects of my life. This is a personal website, so you will learn everything about me from my history up to this point, to my art career, and various other aspects of myself that I think people would be interested in knowing. You may have noticed the title bars of my page, starting with “MELL’S DELL”, etc. I will explain the reasons behind this, though the icons on the top of each page should explain it all. I wanted the titles to rhyme with my nickname, because I am funny that way. Anyway, here is an explanation of each heading:
This is my home page. A “dell” is a small secluded wooden valley, so I thought it would be the perfect name for a “home” page.
This is my contact information. This one I had to get a little creative with. I decided on “bell” because the old telephones used to have bells in them, and they would ring whenever a call was coming through. So when someone wanted someone to call them, they would say, “Give me a ring!” I settled on “bell” because it was what made the ringing sound. Make sense?
This is my life story. I will explain a detailed version of my life up to this point, a history of me if you will. A “spell” is a compelling attraction; charm or fascination, thus why I named my “About Me” page Mell’s Spell.
This is my work experience and portfolio. I have worked for over 16 years in the print design field, and this is a brief history of some of my work. A “sell” is to pursuade another to recognize the work or desirability of something, hence the perfect heading for my work experience.
This is where I put my Blog entries. Anyone who knows me fairly well knows I love to write about my life, experiences, and things I’m trying to resolve. A “tell” is to give a detailed account of or narrate, which sounds perfect for a Blog, don’t you think?
This is something I’ve been meaning to start for quite awhile. I was bullied severely in school as a kid, and know all too well how much it stings. I will tell my story in the hopes it will inspire people to do something about it. I want to try to put an end to bullying, or at the very least start the process. “Mell’s Hell” is just the perfect name for this section.
This will be where my geeky links and various fun images will reside. A “well” is defined as an abundant source, which is a great name for a geeky links page.
