This is the story of my suffering and eventual survival from years of being verbally abused, or what people call today "bullied", from the people I went to school with as a kid. I wanted to write this story of my life, in the hopes that it will inspire people to stop tormenting their fellow students, or to actually do something to stop those who feel the only way they can build themselves up is to put others down. I would like to stop this. I want the people out there to know how this sort of thing affects a person, even years after such events have occurred. Perhaps by sharing my story, I might be able to reach others who might also be in pain. I am not naming names, as I don't want to be sued or anything. I also don't want to give the bullies a name by naming them on my site either.

I intend to share my story as a means of healing from the pains that were a huge part of my life for many years. Even years later, I still feel that those events in my teens scarred me and are still deep enough that they continue to hurt me today.

As I am an avid blogger, I have noticed something profound about writing. About a year ago I found myself thinking about an incident that continued to haunt me for years, what I affectionately call "The Green Boot". After constantly dwelling on that story, I decided to write it on my blog.

An amazing after effect occurred. Months passed by after I wrote the blog, and I hadn't thought about it again. It was an event that I had always thought about at least on a monthly basis. It was also the very last event where I finally just gave up trying after that. After I blogged about it, it didn't affect me anymore. It was like I purged it out of my system.

Realizing that has made the desire to tell my story even more powerful. I want to put an emotional face on the victim and show people just how difficult it is to be treated differently. Eventually, the plan will be to take what I write here, add to it, and write a book about it.
